Update: see the Las Vegas massage parlors section.
Know when to hold them, and know when to fold them. The poker analogy is a good one for the game we play in the massage parlor world. It's a table game, for sure. There's a dealer, and the stakes can sometimes be high stakes.
The ante is the house fee, and the bet is whatever you are willing to put onto the table before you get to see the full hand, so to speak. Get the analogy?
Can we continue the analogy? Is there a point? A turn, a fourth street, a fifth street? Are there strategies for limping in, going over the top, and going " all in"? Sure there are, and we will explore them next.
For now, get your gambling hats on, get your poker chips piled up and pull a chair to the table. Oh, and if you think you may have a gambling problem, there's a 20 questions from Gambler's Anonymous. [If you are into online gambling, check out online casinos or this try online poker.
Ante Up
The ante is the cost of playing, per game For massage, that’s the house fee, which in my neck of the woods is $60. You always pay first at a massage parlor, an you usually pay after the massage when visiting a legitimate non-sensual massage therapist. However, many many legitimate massage therapists know that new customers maybe coming looking for thrills, so they, too, will ask for the house fee before giving the massage. So much for "ante up".
The Cards are Dealt
Once you pay your fee, you are either escorted to a room right away or perhaps you are introduced to your therapy provider. Sometimes your provider will show up after you are in the room. This is the deal. You have to play the cards you are dealt – or do you? In some establishments, if you don’t like "your cards" you can ask for someone else, but not in poker.
So now you’ve paid your fee, you’re in the room, and you’ve met your girl.
The Open: A Pair of Jack’s or Better?
In poker you will probably fold your hand if you don’t have a decent starting pair or promising combination. In massage, folding could mean accepting the fact that you are unlikely to get any extras from this lady and you may as well relax and hope for a good massage.
The Bet and the Raise
I know you can see where this analogy is going... I will have to continue this later!
